How Many Calories Are in a Caesar Chicken Wrap?
A caesar chicken wrap is 643 calories for a standard 255 g deli wrap, or 252 calories per 100 g. Half a wrap is 358. Swap the grilled chicken for breaded and fried chicken and the same wrap climbs to 762. The number nobody expects is the protein: 53 g in one hand-held lunch.
You'd need to walk about 2 hours to burn the 643 calories in one 255 g wrap.

Caesar chicken wrap quick facts
The reference is one whole wrap: a flour tortilla rolled around grilled chicken, romaine, parmesan, croutons and caesar dressing, at 255 g. That is the most common "1 WRAP" weight printed on American deli labels.

Verified nutrition data
Numbers on this page come from USDA FoodData Central, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s food composition database, and from manufacturer labels where a branded product is named. Last verified September 2026. How we verify our data →
Two rows are missing on purpose. USDA publishes no added sugars figure and no trans fat figure for this record, and an absent value is not a zero, so neither row is invented. Total sugars carry no Daily Value at all under the FDA label rules, which is why that cell stays empty.
Two other rows deserve a long look. Protein lands at 106% of the day, the only line in the table over 100. Sodium lands at 64%, and it gets there before you have unwrapped the foil.
The USDA record behind the 252
Here is something no calorie chart tells you: USDA has no unbranded record with the word "caesar" on a wrap. None. Foundation Foods and SR Legacy carry no wraps at all, only caesar dressings and one chain's snack wraps, and the survey database describes wraps generically.
So the number comes from FNDDS record 2707017, "Chicken fillet wrap sandwich, grilled, from fast food", the one unbranded row that is grilled chicken in a tortilla with lettuce, cheese and a sauce. That is the object in the photograph, built the way a deli builds it.
The outside world agrees with it. Twenty-five clean American packaged wraps sold as chicken caesar run from 185 to 286 calories per 100 g, with a median near 240. At 252, the USDA row sits inside that band rather than at either edge.
What did not happen: no averaging. The 252 is one record's number, and the store labels only confirm it is in the right place. Blending two sources produces a figure that describes nothing.
One wrap is a whole day of protein
This is the wrap's real distinction, and it is easy to miss because everyone reads the calorie line first.
One 255 g wrap carries 53.1 g of protein — 106% of the Daily Value. People buy this thing as a light lunch, and it quietly delivers a full day's protein target in about four bites' worth of tortilla and chicken.
Look at the rest of the wrap family in USDA's survey data and the gap is stark. Per 100 g:
- Grilled chicken wrap: 20.83 g of protein
- Chicken salad wrap: 12.89 g
- Turkey wrap: 12.77 g
- Fried chicken wrap: 12.68 g
Every other wrap sits near 13. Only the grilled chicken version clears 20, because the filling is chicken breast rather than chicken mixed with dressing, or thin deli slices padded out with bread.
Half a wrap still gives 29.6 g, which is 59% of the Daily Value for 358 calories. That ratio is the argument for eating the half and saving the rest, and it is why MyPlate counts a wrap like this in the protein group even though it looks like a bread item.
Sodium, not fat, is the trap
Saturated fat gets the attention. Sodium is the number that should.
- One wrap, 255 g: 1,464 mg — 64% of the Daily Value
- Half a wrap, 142 g: 815 mg — 35%
- Per 100 g: 574 mg — 25%
Sixty-four percent of the day is more than the saturated fat share (51%) and four times the carbohydrate share (16%). Roughly speaking, one wrap is two thirds of a teaspoon of table salt, arriving in pieces: dressing, parmesan, brined chicken, and a tortilla that carries its own.
The CDC puts the daily ceiling at 2,300 mg and names deli items among the everyday foods that push Americans past it. A caesar wrap is a deli item with a salad's reputation.
Switching wraps does not fix it. A turkey wrap is lighter on calories, 232 per 100 g against 252, and heavier on sodium at 792 mg per 100 g against 574. You would save about 51 calories on a 255 g wrap and take on considerably more sodium. The lighter wrap is the saltier one.
Servings, from one ounce to the whole wrap
| Serving | Weight | Calories |
|---|---|---|
| 1 wrap | 255 g | 643 |
| 1 small deli wrap | 187 g | 471 |
| 1/2 wrap | 142 g | 358 |
| 4 oz | 113 g | 285 |
| 1 oz | 28 g | 71 |
| 100 g | 100 g | 252 |
USDA publishes no portion sizes for this record, so the 255 g, 187 g and 142 g weights are read off American deli labels, and the ounce rows are our own scaling from the 252 calories per 100 g.
The half-wrap row rewards a second reading. Arithmetic says half of 643 is 322. American deli labels do not: they print "0.5 WRAP" against 130 to 142 g, which is 328 to 358 calories. Log the label's half and you are up to 36 calories above the half you thought you ate.
The small deli wrap at 187 g is worth knowing too, because two stores can sell the same recipe in packs that differ by 68 g. At 471 calories it is a genuinely different lunch from the 643-calorie version of the same sandwich, and nothing on the front of the pack says so.
Raw against cooked does not apply here. The wrap is sold and eaten ready; "grilled" in the USDA description refers to the chicken, not the tortilla.
Grilled against crispy
The crispy caesar wrap is the same idea with breaded, fried chicken inside, and USDA lists it separately as record 2707016.
| Version | Per 100 g | Per 255 g wrap | Protein per 100 g | Sodium per 100 g |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Grilled chicken | 252 | 643 | 20.83 g | 574 mg |
| Fried, crispy chicken | 299 | 762 | 12.68 g | 694 mg |
Forty-seven calories per 100 g sounds small. Across a 255 g wrap it becomes 120 calories, roughly the cost of a slice of bread you did not order.
The protein swing is the bigger story. Breading and frying take the wrap from 20.83 g down to 12.68 g per 100 g, so the crispy version costs more calories and gives back less of the one thing this wrap is unusually good at. If you order one wrap a week, grilled is the easy call.
Wrap or salad, and what the tortilla costs
The variant query behind this page is "chicken caesar salad wrap", and the interesting comparison is the salad it is named after.
| Item | Per 100 g | Protein per 100 g | Sodium per 100 g |
|---|---|---|---|
| Caesar chicken wrap, grilled | 252 | 20.83 g | 574 mg |
| Caesar salad, romaine, no dressing | 77 | 4.0 g | 238 mg |
| Chicken caesar garden salad, no dressing | 63 | 8.52 g | 265 mg |
Undressed romaine caesar is 77 calories per 100 g. Put the same leaves in a tortilla with chicken, parmesan and dressing and the density more than triples to 252. Per 255 g, the salad is 196 calories against the wrap's 643.
Both salad records are measured without dressing, which is exactly how the comparison should be read. Caesar dressing is most of the gap, alongside the tortilla, and pouring dressing on the salad closes a good part of it.
Our position: the wrap is not a salad that got wrapped. It is a sandwich with salad in it, and at 53.1 g of protein it is a better lunch than the undressed salad for anyone who wants to reach dinner without a snack. Choose the salad when sodium is the number you are managing, not when calories are.
Why the label in your hand says something else
Pick up two packaged caesar chicken wraps in two stores and the per-100 g figures will not match, because recipes vary. Among clean American packaged wraps the spread runs from 185 calories per 100 g (Fresh & Easy Signature) to 259 (Archer Farms). That is a real difference, and it is smaller than it looks.
The whole packages run from 420 to 791 calories. Almost all of that spread is weight, not recipe: packs go from 185 g to 319 g. A denser wrap in a small pack beats a lighter wrap in a big one, every time.
The practical version: read the gram weight on the front before you read anything else. Our 255 g reference sits in the middle of the shelf, so if your pack says 300 g, add roughly a fifth to every number on this page, and if it says 200 g, take a fifth off.
How does a caesar chicken wrap compare?
Every row is a USDA survey record, priced at the same 255 g wrap so the comparison is honest.
| Item | Per 100 g | Per 255 g | Protein per 100 g | Fat per 100 g |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Caesar chicken wrap, grilled | 252 | 643 | 20.83 g | 10.42 g |
| Chicken wrap, fried | 299 | 762 | 12.68 g | 16.68 g |
| Chicken salad wrap | 269 | 686 | 12.89 g | 16.56 g |
| Turkey wrap | 232 | 592 | 12.77 g | 9.4 g |
| Caesar salad, no dressing | 77 | 196 | 4.0 g | 3.41 g |
Our take: the grilled caesar wrap is the third-heaviest item on this list and the best one on the list, because it is the only wrap that pays for its calories in protein rather than in dressing. The chicken salad wrap is the row to avoid, at 686 calories with 16.56 g of fat per 100 g and barely more protein than turkey. If the goal is the smallest number among the wraps, take the turkey wrap at 592 and accept the sodium; if the goal is a lunch that ends the day's protein question, this one does it in a single item.

Chicken caesar wrap or chicken caesar salad, which has fewer calories?
The salad, by a wide margin: 77 calories per 100 g for romaine caesar without dressing against 252 for the wrap. At the same 255 g that is 196 calories against 643. The salad figure excludes dressing, and the wrap includes both dressing and the tortilla.
